In Algebra I Honors, we learn Algebra by studying number patterns. Once you understand how numbers change in a pattern, you can generalize
the pattern by using variables
to represent the numbers. When you are doing that, you are using Algebra!
Sometimes you may feel confused. What you need to do then is to keep trying. When you feel confused, it is a sign that you are ready to learn something.
If you feel confused and frustrated, then it is time to find someone who can help you. One good choice is ask someone who is learning what you are learning. If you have a friend in your class who understands the material, ask him or her.
I am also available to help you. If you come before school or after school, I will be glad to sit down with you and help you understand.
